It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Oliver Winston Thomas, age 81, a beloved father, husband, brother, and friend. Oliver was born in Baltimore, MD, grew up and lived in Yonkers, NY until he moved to Tucumcari, NM and recently had resided in Las Cruces, NM.
Oliver is survived by his loving wife, Susie, whom he married on Sept.16th 1961, and their children, Joann Thomas, Barry Thomas, Andrea Petke, and Renee Thomas. He is also survived by his brothers Earl Thomas and Michael Thomas, his granddaughters Dayna Thomas and Heather Thomas-Reed his great grandchildren, his son-in-law Robert Petke along with his cousins and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Louise Thomas, his father Earl Thomas Sr., his sister Linda Thomas and his daughter Leah Thomas.
Oliver was truly a man of faith, known for his deep voice and friendly, outgoing personality. He dedicated his life to Jehovah God in 1965 and became one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Upon moving to Tucumcari, New Mexico in 1976 he started his business, Paradise Electric. Oliver was well known in the community as both an electrical contractor and for sharing the good news of God's Kingdom.
Among his interests and hobbies were traveling, being outdoors while camping or horseback riding, long walks, enjoying NM sunsets and starry nights, taking and collecting photos of...

Oliver will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him until we see him again in the earthly paradise.
