Olivia S. Tellez, 81, of Las Cruces, NM, passed away on March 1, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. Olivia was born in Culiacan, MX on November 20, 1934, to Aurrelano and Ramona O. Sanchez. Olivia S. Tellez, 81, of Las Cruces, NM, passed away on March 1, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. Olivia was born in Culiacan, MX on November 20, 1934, to Aurrelano and Ramona O. Sanchez. She moved to the United States in her late teens and soon married Jose C. Tellez. Together they were blessed with 12 beautiful children. She was an amazing housewife and enjoyed being with family. Olivia is survived by her children Olivia and Andrew Wright, Linda and Raul Padilla, Susie and Delfino Morales, Lano and Sandra Tellez all of Las Cruces NM; Mary and Pete Charleston of Colorado Springs, CO; Gilbert and Tracy Tellez of Apache Junction, AZ; Ray Tellez of Phoenix, AZ; Ricky and Lorraine Tellez of Cumberland Gap, TN; Sandra and Francisco Sotelo of Carlsbad, NM. Olivia is also survived by 35 grandchildren and 66 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Cruz Tellez; son, Cruz Tellez; daughter, Mona Kane; granddaughter, Christie; and grandson, Jose Cruz. Visitation will for Olivia will be on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church (1327 N. Miranda St). Funeral services will be on Tuesday March 8, 2016 at 10 a.m., also at Holy Cross. She will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery (5140 W. Picacho Ave.) PDF Printable Version
