Padraic "Pad" Michael Guffey, 42, passed away in Las Cruces Tuesday May 31, 2011. He was born August 25, 1968 in Coleman, TX to Micheal and Allene Guffey. Pad was a graduate of Las Cruces High School , NMSU where he earned his bachelor's degree in Marketing and was a licensed pilot. He was the owner of R.L. Guffey Drilling in Las Cruces. Padraic "Pad" Michael Guffey, 42, passed away in Las Cruces Tuesday May 31, 2011. He was born August 25, 1968 in Coleman, TX to Micheal and Allene Guffey. Pad was a graduate of Las Cruces High School , NMSU where he earned his bachelor's degree in Marketing and was a licensed pilot. He was the owner of R.L. Guffey Drilling in Las Cruces. Pad loved being outdoors, boating, traveling and most of all playing golf. Pad was a loving husband and son, a devoted father, and hard worker with a strong passion for life and the outdoors. He is survived by his wife Kemberlee and one son Cooper. He is also survived by his mother, Allene Guffey-Havsenfluke and husband Grady; in-laws Candy and Ed Hansen and Max and Jo Johnson; one brother in-law James Hansen and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Guffey; Uncle, Greg Guffey; Favorite cousin Tommy Watson; and grandparents, Rayford and Edith Guffey, and Alvie and Katherine Anderson. A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Sunday June 5, 2011 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Monday June 6, 2011 at the Getz Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Loy. Cremation will follow the service and a private family burial will be held at a later date.
