Patricia Marie Banegas, 59, a lifelong resident of Las Cruces, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021, surrounded by her family. Patricia was born on October 25, 1961, to James and Mary Emma Banegas.
Patricia was a proud Bulldog/Aggie, graduating from Las Cruces High School in 1979 and earning her bachelor's degree in Business Administration from New Mexico State University in 1983. She had recently retired from the Social Security Administration where she proudly worked for 35 years.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Emma. She is survived by her sisters Velma and Barbara (Carlos), her brothers Robert (Ruth) and Gerald (Annetta), her nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and many other loving family members.
The rosary and funeral mass will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Internment of the ashes will follow at the columbarium also at the Cathedral of the immaculate Heart of Mary. Honorary Pallbearers will be her nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
