Patricia (Patc) C. Bingham, 63 of Las Cruces passed away peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2006 at her home with family members at her side. Patricia (Patc) C. Bingham, 63 of Las Cruces passed away peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2006 at her home with family members at her side. Pat, the eldest of two children, was born in Richmond, Virginia on October 5, 1942 to Osbert Leon and Rosa Gertrude Edwards. A loving and giving wife and mother, she relocated with her husband to Las Cruces after having lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Chicago, Illinois and Emporia, Kansas. They moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico in 1985 to become part owners of The Celebrate Liquor Company. While in Kansas, Pat was named MS Mother of the Year by the Eastern Kansas Chapter of the National MS Society for her work that resulted in the approval by the Emporia City Commission of additional handicapped parking spaces and curb cuts for the city. Pat, who we know as, mom, friend, sister, aunt and a grandmother, will forever be remembered by everyone who knew her as a woman who possessed an unwavering compassion and desire to help others. She was a woman who always put others first and made everyone she came in contact with feel special. A stranger was just a friend she hadn't met. Her husband of 32 years, George Bingham, preceded Pat in death. A visitation will be held Tuesday July 11, 2006 from 5-7 PM at Getz Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday July 12, 2006 at the Getz Funeral Home Chapel.
