Patricia C. "Pat" Jones of Mesquite, New Mexico Passed away on Saturday April 21, 2012 at her home on the family farm in Mesquite. Pat was born on February 29, 1940 in El Paso, Texas. Patricia C. "Pat" Jones of Mesquite, New Mexico Passed away on Saturday April 21, 2012 at her home on the family farm in Mesquite. Pat was born on February 29, 1940 in El Paso, Texas. She was raised in Hatch and Las Cruces. She married James E. "Jim" Jones on July 19, 1957 at Mesquite Baptist Church. Pat was a homemaker and the Jones's have been lifelong farmers in Mesquite. Pat is survived by her husband of 54 years, James E. "Jim" Jones; her three Children: Jo Beth Kiehne (Terry) of White Rock, New Mexico; Connie Brittle (John) of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and James L. "Jim" Jones (Jami) of Mesa, Arizona. Her six grand children: Daniel Kirkpatrick (Mindy) of Mesilla, New Mexico; Shawnell Kiehne (Sean Corn) of Phoenix, Arizona; Charlie Kiehne of Trinidad, Colorado; James Kiehne of Las Cruces, New Mexico; Katie Jones of Phoenix, Arizona; and Taylor Brittle of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Her three great-grandchildren: Lainie Kirkpatrick, Axton Williams, and Sage Kirkpatrick; her brother, John F. Carpenter (Carol) of Deming, New Mexico; her sister, Wilma Huckabey (Jim) of Wichita, Kansas and numerous nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her brother, Lester John Carpenter. Forever our Mom, Nana, Friend-Pat loved, and is loved deeply. The world will be less without her. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday April 27, 2012 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Griffith officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
