Patricia L. Silver RNC, 49, of Las Cruces, died Saturday September 15, 2007. She was born January 15, 1958 in Ruidoso, NM, to James and Dorothy Silver. Patty Graduated with a degree in nursing from NMSU. After which she practiced as a Trauma Nurse and Paramedic. She taught at the Dona Ana Branch Community College and initiated the Paramedic Course. She was the Director of Nursing at Good Samaritan Corporation, Corp. She was also District Director Consultant and Assistant Division director of Clinical Services for Horizon Healthcare. Patty served as Emergency Medical Services Coordinator for Seven counties in New Mexico and Medi-vac Trauma Nurse support for Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces. She was a member of the Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce and a director on the American Heart Association Board. Other than her extensive work in the medical field, Patty loved to mountain bike, scuba dive and competitive shooting. Patty's passion was teaching and providing a positive learning environment for her students. Patty is survived by her beloved husband Billy Colson of the family home, one daughter Emily Silver-Colson, both of the family home, Two Brothers, Bill Kelt and wife Connie, of Farmington, NM, John Silver and wife Shirley, of St. Hedwig, TX, three sisters, Jean Rico and husband Charlie, of Midland, TX, Kathy Clubine, of Phoenix, AZ, Susan Jarzombek and husband Marvin, of Adkins, TX, six nephews Billy, John Jr., James, Michael, Bobby, Edward, three nieces, Jill Christi, and Jessica. She was Preceded in death by her Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Silver and Parents James and Dorothy Silver.
