It is with heavy hearts that the family of Patricia “Pat” Talamantes announces her passing on March 18, 2024, at the age of sixty-three. She was surrounded by her loving family when she met the Lord. It is with heavy hearts that the family of Patricia “Pat” Talamantes announces her passing on March 18, 2024, at the age of sixty-three. She was surrounded by her loving family when she met the Lord. Patricia was born in Los Angeles, California on October 20, 1960 to Benjamin and Aurora Godina. She was the youngest child of six. Patricia moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico in 2000, and she has since resided here. Patricia had many hobbies including cooking, mentoring and decorating for special holidays and events. Patricia was known for her caring nature, willingness to help those in need and sense of humor. Patricia was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She cherished spending time with her family, especially the time she spent with her beloved granddaughter. She is survived by her children; Melerie Y. Talamantes and Jose Godina; Her granddaughter Camila “Cami”, who she was very proud of and loved dearly; her brothers Ben, Eddie and Fred; and her sister Erlinda. Patricia was preceded in death by her mother Aurora Chaira Godina and father Benjamin Godina; and her brother Ray Chaira Godina.
Patricia touched many lives, and she will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Those of us who were blessed to have Patricia in our lives hold and cherish the lucky memories we were able to make with her.
Patricia’s life will be honored on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Avenue, Las Cruces, New Mexico. A public viewing will begin at 5:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 6:30 PM. On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, a Prayer Vigil at Getz Funeral Home will take place at 3:30 pm, and Patricia will be laid to rest. We love you Pat!
