Patricia S. Padilla entered eternal life on December 13, 2020. She was born in Santa Rita, NM in April 1945. She died at her home with her loving and devoted husband of 58 years. Her death was sudden and unexpected. However, her family knows that she is now in the loving hands of the Lord. Patricia was a very dedicated wife and mother who loved her family. She was very kind and friendly with all who she encountered. She attended the Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral. She always prayed for her family and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents Tomas and Dolores Sandoval as well as all her siblings Pedro Jose Sandoval; Rosa Chavez; Jesus Sandoval; Lourdes Chavez; Guadalupe Jimenez; Mary Duran; and Jose Sandoval. Those left behind to commemorate her eternal rest is her loving husband Guillermo "Billy" Padilla, her daughter Patricia Padilla-Torres, her son William "Will" Padilla, her son-in-law Edward Torres, Jr; daughter-in-law Lisa Pope Padilla, and her grandchildren: Aaron Padilla; Gina Torres; Alexis Padilla-Torres; Felicia Padilla; and Sofia Padilla. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and Godchildren. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the funeral services will be limited to her spouse her children and their families, the lectors, and the pallbearers. The Covid-19 protocols must be followed. The visitation will be at Getz Funeral home on Monday, January 18, 2021 from 2:00-400 p.m. with a rotation of 5 visitors at one time. The visitation will also be live streamed on the Getz Funeral home website. The Funeral Rosary and Mass will be live streamed on Getz's website on Tuesday January 19, 2021 commencing at 10:30 a.m. The internment will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Aaron Padilla, Edward Torres, Albert Gonzales, Paul Gerome Lujan, Brandon Ortega, and Esteban Sandoval. Honorary Pallbearers are: James Campos; Tony Jimenez; and Jairo Luna. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the IHM Cathedral located at 1240 S. Espina, Las Cruces, NM 88001. The donations may be made online at ihmcathedral.com or at the parish office. According to her wishes, service arrangements have been entrusted to Getz Funeral Home in Las Cruces, NM.
