Patricia Villanueva, 54, of Las Cruces, NM, peacefully passed away on Friday October 1, 2021, surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with COVID-19. Patricia was born on May 13, 1967, to Mary and Florian Villanueva in the quaint town of Portales, NM. Patricia graduated from Midland High School; she later pursued a degree in Medical Assisting at Eastern New Mexico University- Roswell. After graduation, she worked in the medical field for over 20 years. Patricia was passionate about caring for patients and loved what she did for a living. Patricia had three beautiful children, Cynthia, Justin, and Erika. She raised them as a strong, hard-working, single parent for many years. In late 2012, she met Shawn Lynn in Las Cruces. Patricia, Shawn, her children, and grandchildren all went on to have lots of wonderful, happy memories. She always showed a great amount of loving support in all things her children and grandchildren participated in. Patricia was always the life of the party, she lit up the room wherever she went. Her life displays perseverance, strength, and courage. She never let any battle defeat her. Patricia was such a loving and giving person, to know her was to love her.
