Patrick "Mousie" Mancha, age 42, passed away at home in the presence of his family on Monday, June 14, 2010. Born March 10, 1968 in San Jose, California, to Mary Mancha, Patrick attended Valley View Elementary, Zia Junior High and graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1986. On December 17, 1985, he married Melissa Leyba of Silver City, New Mexico. Patrick lived most of his life in Las Cruces. Patrick has been a dedicated employee of ColorTyme for 14 years, during which he received numerous awards and vacation bonuses for his commitment to service and excellence in sales. As District Manager and in his previous leadership positions Patrick was highly respected and well liked by employees of all ranks, leading the store to receive the Platinum award in sales. Patrick will be especially remembered for his devotion and love for his family, quick wit, generous and fun loving nature, and as a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan. He is known at ColorTyme as the Ping-Pong champion of the company. Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Melissa, beloved children, Andrea, Desiree, Isiah and Jacob, grandson Alejandro, his mother Mary Mancha and brothers Cruz Mancha of Las Cruces, Rafael Ruiz of Kirkland, Washington, and sisters Magdalena Mancha and Victoria Ruiz of San Jose, California. Patrick was also central to lives of his 11 nieces and nephews as well as their children. A viewing will be held 5pm to 6pm, Friday, June 18, 2010, at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave., Las Cruces, NM 88001. A prayer vigil will be held immediately following the viewing at Immaculate Heart of Mary church, 1240 S Espina St, Las Cruces, NM 88001 at 7 pm Friday, June 18, 2010. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Immaculate Heart of Mary church beginning at 10 am. Burial will follow at St. Jose's Cemetery. Thanks to ColorTyme and Dona Ana Magistrate Court after and during the accident for their help and support and organization of fundraising activities.
