Placida (Patty) Morales, 85 at death Patty passed away on September 19th, 2023 (one day before her 86th Birthday) in her home, attended by her children and husband (Ignacio). Patty was born on September 20th, 1937; in Garfield, NM, to Mariana (Apodaca) Gonzales and Benito Gonzales. Patty had eight siblings; Mary Lee Martinez (husband Jesse), Nancy Terrazas (deceased) and (husband Dan, deceased), Rosanne Martinez (husband Nick, deceased), Joanne Gonzales (deceased), Ronald Gonzales (Wife Nancy, deceased), Grace Pharis (husband Jan), Ruby Martinez (Bobby), Debbie Barela (deceased). Patty began elementary school at age five, because her sister Mary Lee would not go to school unless Patty was with her; so, their mother (Mariana) enrolled them as twins. Patty attended school in Garfield until high school; then attended Hatch High School. Patty was married to her High School Sweetheart, Ignacio Morales, on November 10th, 1953. Patty is survived by her husband of 69 years, Ignacio S. Morales, Jr.; three sons and two daughters - Danny Morales (Mary Ann); Michael Morales; Myra Hannum (husband Rusty); Phyllis Romero (husband John); James Morales (wife Carolyn). Grandchildren: Steven Morales (wife Nicole), Alex Morales (wife Michelle), Erik Morales, Miegan Morales, Mishawn Morales-Bohan (husband Brendan), Michael Morales, Judah Morales, Mark Hannum (wife Dayana), Ryan Romero, Jared Romero, Devin Romero, Valerie Morales, and Andrew Morales. Pallbearers: Ryan Romero-Grandson, Judah Morales-Grandson, Steven Morales-Grandson, Mark Hannum-Grandson, Andrew Morales-Grandson, and Alex Morales-Grandson. A public visitation will be held at Getz Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 5:00 pm followed by Rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held the following day Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church followed by Burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. First Visitation
