On August 7, 2009 our Lord opened his gates to Paula Lucero Salazar, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and sister to his home. Paula was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Josefa Gutierrez and Dolores Herrera. She lived a full life dedicating herself unselfishly to her family and home. On August 7, 2009 our Lord opened his gates to Paula Lucero Salazar, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and sister to his home. Paula was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Josefa Gutierrez and Dolores Herrera. She lived a full life dedicating herself unselfishly to her family and home. Grandma Paula spent everyday cooking food. Her Kitchen was where her family gathered with anticipation to eat her home made tortillas, her famous Chile Colorado, Chile Verde con carne and her most "savorso menudo". Anyone that entered her home was touched by her generosity and loving spirit. She left behind many beautiful memories. The family extends a multitude of thanks to Dr. Mercer and staff. Ofelia Herrera and Nellie Estrada. Special thanks to all the family members for their love and support. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Feliciano Salazar, her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters Maria Moreno and Angie Salazar, her sons Andres Salazar (Margarita), Jose (Chemo) Salazar, Juan Salazar (Lupe) and Tom Salazar (Mary), Two sisters Cornelia Herrera and Josefina Ramirez. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. Mom, grandma it was an honor and privilege to be part of your life. Thank-You Mom.
