Philip Thomas Gantz, age 32, passed away suddenly in Las Cruces on December 30, 2004. Philip was born on September 25, 1972, in Bay Shore, New York, to Philip and Maureen Gantz. He served in the U.S. Navy until his honorable discharge in 1994. Philip loved technology and computers, and worked as a technical support supervisor for many years. Philip will be remembered as a kind person who would give a helping hand to anyone. He had a big heart. He was intelligent, and loved to talk to anyone about topics of many interests. His interests were writing poetry, reading, visiting with friends and family, and fishing. One of his favorite places was a fishing village in Mexico, and his family takes comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on in the many places and people he visited. He touched many lives and his family believes they are better off because of it. Philip will be missed and forever held in our hearts. Philip is survived by his loving father and mother, Phil Gantz of Las Cruces, and Maureen Feehan of Florida. He is survived by an extended caring family that included his grandmother, Frances Florio, of Brentwood, Long Island, good friend, Tom Noland, stepfather, Jim Feehan of Florida and his stepmother Pauline Gantz, of Las Cruces.
