Quintin Grayson Cole, 13, of Las Cruces, New Mexico died Thursday April 10, 2008 at the University of New Mexico Children's Hospital from complications of cancer. Quintin Grayson Cole, 13, of Las Cruces, New Mexico died Thursday April 10, 2008 at the University of New Mexico Children's Hospital from complications of cancer. He was born August 25, 1994 in Las Cruces, NM to Wendy and Fletcher Cole. Quintin was an animal lover and a nature enthusiast. He enjoyed fishing, camping, riding atv's'S, and traveling to other states and Mexico to see the ocean, snorkel and collect seashells. Quintin loved dragons as well as reading, particularly fantasy books and could often be found entertaining friends and family with his latest magic tricks. He was an avid aggie basketball fan and had a passion for playing the trombone. As a member of the Cub Scouts, he received his arrow of light. Quintin was a good student in the 8th grade at zia Middle School and was set to start high school at Las Cruces High in the fall. His family describes him as a curious, gentle and caring person who was fun loving and kind hearted. He will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his parents Wendy and Fletcher Cole; sister Madalynn Cole; grandmother Patsy Meerscheidt of Las Cruces, NM; uncle James and aunt Michelle Meerscheidt of Las Cruces, NM and their daughter, Morgan; grandfather Henry Cole of Cliff, NM; great uncle Stuart Meerscheidt of Las Cruces, NM; cousins Staci Musgrove, Janette Brunt and Marilyn Morris of Albuquerque, NM and cous-ant Andrea Joseph of Las Cruces, NM. Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held on April 19, 2008, 1 o'clock in the afternoon, at Getz Funeral Home.
