Music was in his heart and in his blood. He was also a very talented cook, plumber and all around jack of all trades. Our beloved father, son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, Ralph P. Martinez, 43, was called to his eternal resting place on Friday, July 30, 2010. He was born on February 28, 1967. Ralph was a great father and a best friend. He was a good son even though at times he complained, but he always did what was right. His life was filled with love and he always made you laugh. No matter what was going on he had a joke or a funny face to make you laugh. His personality shined most when he was on stage. Ralph is survived by his son Jessie Martinez; mother, Andrea Martinez; brother, Edward Martinez Jr. and his partner Maria all of Las Cruces. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and his fellow band members and friends. Serving as casket bearers will be Marty Aguilar, Chris Trujillo, Danny Ortega Jr., BoBo Garcia, Raymond Trujillo and Martin Barreras. Visitation will be held at Getz Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and prayer will follow at 7 p.m. Services will be held on Friday at 9:15 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
