Ramon "Guelo" Cadena, Sr. age 90, was born on April 14, 1930 to Luis & Andrea Cadena in Chinati, Texas near Presidio. He was the youngest of 9 children. His siblings who all preceded him in death include sisters: Natividad Navarrete, Anastacia Carnero, Ricarda Birtz, and Asuncion Garcia and brothers: Manuel, Gregorio, Celestino, and Alberto Cadena.

He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 25th, 2020 in Las Cruces, NM. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and family man. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Lucila Dominguez Cadena of the family home in Dell City, Texas; his children - Andrea (Ed) Chavez of Artesia, NM, Sandra (Joel) Talavera of Midland, TX, Ramon Jr. (Julie) Cadena of Las Cruces, NM, and Hugo (Gloria) Cadena of Andrews, TX; his grandchildren - Adrian (Bianca) Cadena, Breanna/Shelbi (Trae) Talavera, Jaron (Stephanie)/Regan Cadena, and Melissa Cadena as well as great grandchildren, Damian, Ashten, Ethan, Brycen, and Devin. There are also numerous nieces and nephews.

He was an extremely hard-working man. Throughout his life he worked for Paymaster Gin, AJ Stone Water Well Service, Ainsworth Well Service, and Hudspeth County Road Department finally retiring at 77 years old. A little rough around the edges, but that is what made him memorable.

Burial Services will be held at 10am on Friday, May 1st, 2020 at Dell Valley Memorial Acres in Dell City, Texas

Pallbearers for the burial service will be:

Jaron Cadena, Regan Cadena, Adrian Cadena, Joel Talavera, Claudio Hernandez, and Andres Garcia
