Ramon O. Martinez, 78 years old of Las Cruces, NM died Sunday, February 19, 2006 at his home. He was born July 10, 1928 in Las Cruces to Abundio and Guadalupe Martinez. A lifetime resident of Las Cruces, he was retired from White Sands Missile Range. Ramon enjoyed working on cars and in his shed at home. He is survived by his wife Ruth; three sons, Jose Martinez and his wife Monique; Steve Martinez and his wife Patty; and Robert Martinez and his wife Cece all of Las Cruces, NM. Two daughters, Paloma Brewster and her husband Michael and Martha Martinez and her husband Brian of Las Cruces. Two sisters, Genoveva Alvarez and Maria Martinez both of Las Cruces, NM. Ramon was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Elvira Montoya, two brothers, Tony and Rudy; and two sons, Raymond and Jerry. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel where a Prayer Service will follow at 7 PM. The Funeral Services will be at 10 AM on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hector Vega, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving, as pallbearers will be Jose Martinez, Michael Brewster, Steve Martinez, Jerry Martinez, Michael Martinez, and Gregory Martinez. PDF Printable Version
