Raymundo Armendariz Sr., 81, lifelong resident of the Mesilla Valley, died Friday, May 11, 2007. He was born Feb. 17, 1926 in Santa Rosalia Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Mauricio and Refugio Rodriguez Armendariz. Ray was an active and faithful member of the Kingdom hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Raymundo Armendariz Sr., 81, lifelong resident of the Mesilla Valley, died Friday, May 11, 2007. He was born Feb. 17, 1926 in Santa Rosalia Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Mauricio and Refugio Rodriguez Armendariz. Ray was an active and faithful member of the Kingdom hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He has left with hope in the resurrection and living forever-in paradise on earth. He was well known for his love of music and played music as a Mariachi in his younger years and was a retired employee for the City of Las Cruces. All his family and friends who knew and loved him will forever miss him. His five children survive him Ruben Armendariz, Raymundo Armendariz Jr., Anna Maria Armendariz, Rosalie Ramos and Amelia Armendariz all of Las Cruces. He had 15 grandchildren 3 of whom were his closest; Oscar Aguilar, Evelyn Guerra both of Las Cruces and Yvette Ramos who preceded him in death. Raymundo also has 2 great-grandchildren Sierra Rose Aguilar and Eduardo Ilias Guerra. His son-in-law Rodolfo Ramos also preceded Ray in death. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be on Friday, May 18, 2007 at 4:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 1110 Burke Rd. with Elder Luis Gonzalez officiating. PDF Printable Version
