Becky, as she was most fondly known, was born June 29, 1932, in San Yisidro, New Mexico to Fermin S. and Donaciana V. Torres and was a life long resident of the Las Cruces area. Rebecca T. Mesa, "Becky" age 76, of Fairacres, passed away Friday, April 03, 2009, at Sierra Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, after a brief illness. Becky, as she was most fondly known, was born June 29, 1932, in San Yisidro, New Mexico to Fermin S. and Donaciana V. Torres and was a life long resident of the Las Cruces area. She started her professional career with Time Finance and Central Loan Company. She also worked in various social services positions with the State of New Mexico including SER Jobs for Progress, Community Action Agency, Area Agency on Aging, and Services for Seniors. Becky enjoyed tending to her rose bushes (weeding with a shovel not a hoe!), making never-frequent-enough trips to the local casinos and catching the latest sports event. She took pride in her preparation of a "beautifully-presented" plate of food and gained great pleasure in others' enjoyment of her efforts. Strangers were relatively uncommon to her
