She married Clifford Horton and moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico, where they built and ran a dairy farm together. An active member of Las Cruces First Baptist Church for over 60 years, Retha loved the Lord with all her heart, with all her soul, and with all her mind....

She married Clifford Horton and moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico, where they built and ran a dairy farm together. An active member of Las Cruces First Baptist Church for over 60 years, Retha loved the Lord with all her heart, with all her soul, and with all her mind. Better known to many of the church's children as Mrs. Horton, she taught 6 year olds in Sunday School for 30 years, made weekly visits to the sick and elderly, and loved to sing in the Senior Choir.
