He taught in the states of Washington and Arizona before moving to New Mexico where he worked for the Department of Human Services. He retired as the Dona Ana County Director of Income Support Division in 2003. Richard will be remembered for his dedication as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather. If asked, those who knew Richard would agree that he was one of, if not the smartest person anyone knew. He loved to share his knowledge about the Bible, history, politics, and sports. He was a member of Las Cruces First Assemblies of God, where he loved learning and teaching about God's forgiveness and love. He held bible studies in his home, and was involved in the Las Cruces Prayer Center. His love of the Lord was an inspiration to all who met Richard. "Chuck" Audette of Glens Falls, NY who passed away in 2009; and Brother Thomas Gentile of Hudson Falls, NY who passed away in 2011.
