Richard S. Hinson, 30 of Las Cruces, NM passed away Sept. 7, 2009 near a friend's home. He was born in Texas to Jerry and Jane Hinson. Richard S. Hinson, 30 of Las Cruces, NM passed away Sept. 7, 2009 near a friend's home. He was born in Texas to Jerry and Jane Hinson. "Richie" as he was affectionately known to family and friends is survived by his companion, Isabel Jerabek, his brother Leroy Reeves of New York City, his sister Monica Sue Wagonor of Red Oak, Texas; his adoptive parents Carl and Bilye Nordwall of Las Cruces and adoptive siblings Robert E. Davis (Kim) of Lewisville, TX, Steven O. Davis (Julia) of Las Cruces, Thomas Nordwall of Minot, ND; Clay Nordwall, Michael Nordwall all of Las Cruces, Judy Carter (Dan) of Grandville, ND, Jill Harvey (David) of Minot, ND; Laurisa McClendon (Andrew) of Los Angeles, CA; Suzanna McClendon-Nordwall and Chanisa McClendon of Las Cruces. He is preceded in death by his mother Jane Rutherford, and adoptive brothers James Davis and Andrew McClendon-Nordwall. Richie had an outgoing, friendly personality. He loved sports especially bowling and riding his motorcycle. He loved playing cards with his friends in their weekly games. He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be at 2 PM on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 also at Getz Funeral Home with Rev. Norm Story of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery. Following interment a gathering of family and friends will be held at the home of his adoptive uncle and aunt, Dr. James and Mary Tucker.
