Richard W. Nolan, 58, of Las Cruces, passed away Monday, May 18, 2009 at the family home. Richie as he was fondly known was born May 21, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York. He was a retired Fire Fighter after many years of faithful service from New York City. After retirement he relocated to the southwest. He was an amateur astronomer and photographer who took great pleasure in viewing and photographing the universe. He also enjoyed hiking in the mountains, traveling, playing pool and the music of Bob Dylan. Richie will be deeply missed by all is family and friends who knew and loved him. Survivors include his loving wife, Sherri Nolan of the family home, his daughter Christine Nolan, his son Richard T. Nolan of phoenix, AZ and his mother Elizabeth Nolan of Ridgewood, New York. Other survivors include his in-laws Granville Baxter and Madeline Stephens, step-children, LaDelle Hash (Jeremy), Timothy Davis (Shauna) and three step-grandchildren Colton, Benjamin and Xerenity all of Las Cruces, NM. His father, E. Richard Nolan, precedes him in death. Memorial Services to celebrate his life will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home with his friend Joe Cassles officiating. Following services a gathering of family and friends will be at the Hash home. PDF Printable Version
