Rita R. Martinez, 81, of Chamberino, NM died Wednesday, March 25, 2009. She was born May 23, 1927 in Santa Barbara, Durango, Mexico to Donicio and Ubalda Perez Romero. Rita was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. Rita R. Martinez, 81, of Chamberino, NM died Wednesday, March 25, 2009. She was born May 23, 1927 in Santa Barbara, Durango, Mexico to Donicio and Ubalda Perez Romero. Rita was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons Juan Carlos Martinez and wife Heather of Deming, NM and Miguel Martinez and wife Michelle of Anthony, NM; daughters Manuela Zamarron and husband Alejandro, Ramona and Graciela Martinez all of Chamberino and Rosa Elena Petty and husband Dennis of El Paso, TX; brother Enrique Romero of Minneapolis, MN; sisters Blasa Rivas of Las Cruces, Juana Venzor of Chicago, ILL, Catalina Pauda of Santa Barbara, Mexico; grandchildren Laura Vargas and husband Raul, Alejandra Zamarron and companion Luis Polanco, Rita Zamarron and companion Jose Garcia, Fabian Martinez, Michail Martinez and Desmond Petty; great-grandchildren Ramon Zepeda, Isaias Zepeda, Ethan Garcia, Devon Salas and Troy Vargas. Mrs. Martinez was preceded in death by her husband Juan Martinez; brothers Francisco and Arnulfo and sister Nicolasa Vega. A visitation will be held from 5:30 PM till 7 PM on Friday, March 27, 2009 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Anthony, NM where a prayer vigil will follow at 7:00 PM. Rita's funeral mass will be at 9:00 AM on Saturday, March 28, 2009 also at St. Anthony's with Fr. Andres Alava officiating. Rite of Committal will be at the Chamberino Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raul Rivas, Amado Rivas and Liberto Rivas, Miguel Martinez, Alejandro Zamarron, Fabian Martinez, Jaime and Mark Vasquez. PDF Printable Version
