Rita Seiler Albanese, 73, of Radium Springs died at Mesilla Valley Hospice La Posada after a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Albanese was born in Newark, NJ. She lived in Bridgewater NJ before moving to the Las Cruces area in 1977. Mrs. Albanese was employed by the Bridgewater Public Schools and the Las Cruces Public School System. She Retired in 1996. Rita Seiler Albanese, 73, of Radium Springs died at Mesilla Valley Hospice La Posada after a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Albanese was born in Newark, NJ. She lived in Bridgewater NJ before moving to the Las Cruces area in 1977. Mrs. Albanese was employed by the Bridgewater Public Schools and the Las Cruces Public School System. She Retired in 1996. She also served on the Board of Leasburg Mutual Domestic Water Company Association. Mrs. Albanese was an avid gardener famous for her tomatoes, she also had a keen interest in hot air ballooning, and archeology. In addition to her beloved husband Larry, she is survived by her daughter Sharon Peyton of Bridgeport, TX, and her son Larry of Radium Springs, NM. A memorial service will be held at the family home for friends and family on March 17th at 11AM, following a memorial balloon flight. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that contributions in Rita's name be made to Mesilla Valley Hospice, located at 299 E. Montana, Las Cruces, NM, 88005. PDF Printable Version
