Robert D. White, 70 of Las Cruces, NM died December 9, 2010 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center. He was born April 12, 1940 in Lebanon, Virginia to Walter and Betty White. "Bob" served his country honorably retiring from the U S Army after 27 years of service. He was a resident of Las Cruces since 1982 and was a member of the VFW. "Bob" served his country honorably retiring from the U S Army after 27 years of service. He was a resident of Las Cruces since 1982 and was a member of the VFW. He is survived by his wife Jo Ann of Las Cruces; sons, Ronnie White of Wisconsin; Ricky White of Virginia; Roger White of Farmington, NM; step son Daniel Sutton of California. Daughters, Christina Lindgren of Colorado; Korianne White serving in the US Army in Korea; Shannon White of Las Cruces and step daughter, Stacie Durham of Las Cruces. Also surviving his are 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. At Bob's request, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Funeral Service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel with full military honors.
