Robert "Bob" Bishop, 78, of Las Cruces, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born Jan. 10, 1930 in Shawano, Wisconsin to the late Walter and Margaret Bishop. Bob was a veteran of the US Air Force where he served his country honorably for 4 years. Robert "Bob" Bishop, 78, of Las Cruces, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born Jan. 10, 1930 in Shawano, Wisconsin to the late Walter and Margaret Bishop. Bob was a veteran of the US Air Force where he served his country honorably for 4 years. Later he married Dorothy Wojciechowski on July 7, 1956 in Seymour, Wisconsin. He worked for Karcz Ford and Mercury in Pulaski faithfully for over 40 years. After retiring in 1994 he enjoyed his trap and sporting clay and his pistol shooting. Bob will be deeply missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. His loving wife of 51 happy years Dorothy of the family home; son Bruce Bishop and wife Sue; 3 daughters Karla Kossmeyer and husband Chris of St. Louis, Karen Ward and husband Stuart of Mt. Michigan and Mary Bruskey and husband Joseph of Oconto Fall, Wisconsin, survive him. Also surviving Bob are his 9 grandchildren and his 2 stepchildren. His father and mother and 2 brothers Larry and Donald preceded him in death. Memorial Services to celebrate his life will be held at a later date in Green Bay, Wisconsin. PDF Printable Version
