Robert L. Hanby

January 28, 1935 — March 25, 2010

Robert Hanby, 75, of Las Cruces, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2010. He was born Jan. 28, 1935 in Butler, PA, to Joseph and Edith Hanby. Robert was a retired Sergeant First Class with the US Army serving his country honorably in Korea. He was a graduate of Laterno Tech and Dona Ana Community College, he loved to tinker with all type of cars and hot-rods and going to drag races but his passion was for his family. Mr. Hanby will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. "BYE FOR NOW" He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years June Hanby of the family home; sons Michael Cornell and Brian Hanby and wife Molly all of Las Cruces; daughter Joy Brown and husband Gary of Wichita, Kansas; sisters Eleanor Gache and husband John of Wintersville, Ohio, Eloise Hanby of Salt Lake City, Utah and Elaine Bell and husband Harry of Beaver Falls, PA. Also surviving him are his grandchildren Christopher, Sagen and Zachary and by great-grandchildren Daxton and London. He was preceded in death by his brother Dean Hanby. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be at 2:00 pm on Monday March 29, 2010 at Church Triumphant with Pastor Ty Loyd officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery with full military honors. PDF Printable Version
