ROBERT STROVEN GLAZIER Robert (Bob) was born in Santa Rosa, CA, June 4, 1929. He died at age 88 on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at La Posada Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces. ROBERT STROVEN GLAZIER Robert (Bob) was born in Santa Rosa, CA, June 4, 1929. He died at age 88 on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at La Posada Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces. Bob suffered from several health issues arising after surgery in December to repair an artificial knee. Robert Glazier served in the US Air Force in the early 50's and was stationed in Japan. He worked with the Merchant Marines previous to that. Bob received a degree in 1959 from Santa Rosa Community College in California. He loved reading and watching most sports, news programs, and public television. "Go! Oakland Raiders! He could answer questions in almost every category on "Jeopardy". Mr. Glazier was predeceased by his wife Marie in 2000 in Green Valley, AZ; where they had resided for ten years after his retirement from Safeway and leaving their home in Hayward, CA; destined for a developing golf course community at Quail Creek. After Marie Glazier's death Mr. Glazier met and married Sharon Wicke Chacon in Las Cruces, NM on June 22, 2001. Robert's survivors include his wife Sharon, a step-son Doug (Dorsey) Waters and former step-daughter, Cindy Waters, parents of Kevin (Jackie) Waters, Bryan (Roseanne) Waters, and David (Sophie). There are ten great grandchildren claimed by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Glazier. Bob is also survived by his brother Frank (Kate) Glazier, and cousin, George Merrill. All survivors other than his wife reside in the San Francisco Bay/Oakland vicinity of California except Frank and Kate, who live in the Greater Los Angeles area, and George, who resides in Santa Rosa, CA.
