Rodolfo (Rudy) Mendoza passed away peacefully in El Paso, Texas on January 29, 2015, after a short illness. He was 61. He was born on November 26, 1953 in Las Cruces to Alex Sr. and Helen Mendoza. Rodolfo (Rudy) Mendoza passed away peacefully in El Paso, Texas on January 29, 2015, after a short illness. He was 61. He was born on November 26, 1953 in Las Cruces to Alex Sr. and Helen Mendoza. Rudy will be deeply missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. Rudy graduated from Las Cruces High School. He honorably served our country, after graduation, in the US Army from July 1974 through July 1976. He served as a Field Artillery Crewman. He is survived by his brothers Alex Mendoza Jr. and wife Luz, Benny Mendoza and wife Elaine, Elmo Mendoza, Gilbert Mendoza and wife Gloria, George Mendoza and his sister Doretta Garcia and husband James. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Rudy was preceded in death by his loving mother and father, a nephew Vince Mendoza and a sister-in-law Shelly Mendoza. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, located at 1327 North Miranda Street in Las Cruces on February 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Church Mausoleum.
