Ronald Dean Lampe Sr. passed away February 1, 2008 at his home in Las Cruces. He was born to Wilbert and Edith (Ford August 24, 1935, in Pratt Kansas. He grew up on the farm near Pratt. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1954 and served for 21 years. He married Lorretta Barris on November 21, 1955. To this union were born, three sons, Roland Jr., Bill and Don and a daughter Lynn. After retirement from the Army Ron moved to the family farm in Pratt, spending three years farming before moving to Las Cruces, NM where he worked at White Sands Missile Range, and retired in 1997 after 16 years. Lorretta Passed away in May of 1999. Ron married Patsy Brown on July 2, 2005. They enjoyed traveling to visit friend and family. They also enjoyed visiting ancient ruins and rock hunting. Ron was and avid sports fan and routed for the Dallas Cowboys and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Mr. Lampe was proceded in death by his parents Wilbert and Edith Lampe and his wife Lorretta. Mr. Lampe is survived by his beloved wife Patsy, of the family home, Sons Ronald (Sally) of Cortez, CO, Bill, of Ruidoso, NM, Don, of Central City, OR, daughter Lynn Evans (Ike) of Corraville, IA, Three granddaughters, Erin and Audrey Evans, of Corraville, IA, Donna Kay Richardson, of Wichita, KS and special cousin, Albert Oller, of Hollywood, KS. Also surviving Mr. Lampe are Patsy's children, Janet Kunkel, of Santa Fe, NM, Trey (Polly) Arvizu, of Las Cruces, Jeff Arvizu, of Mesa, AZ, and grandchildren Chuck, Kim, Molly Kunkel and Jason, Sara, Shaylee Arvizu, great-grandson Jason Arvizu and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at University United Methodist Church in Las Cruces, Tuesday February 5, 2008 at 2 PM. PDF Printable Version
