Ronald J. "Ron" Soto, 47, of Las Cruces, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008. He was born April 12, 1961 in Las Cruces to Elias and Delphina Apodaca Soto. Ron was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking and riding his bike. He will be deeply missed by all his family and many friends who knew and loved him. Ronald J. "Ron" Soto, 47, of Las Cruces, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008. He was born April 12, 1961 in Las Cruces to Elias and Delphina Apodaca Soto. Ron was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking and riding his bike. He will be deeply missed by all his family and many friends who knew and loved him. He is survived by his three precious daughters, which are his pride and joy Veronica Armstrong and husband Josh and Crystal Soto and Jessica Soto; his loving mother Delphina Soto; brother Steve Soto and wife Jean; sisters Debra Mendoza and husband Jimmy, Barbi Galban and Cindy Heredia; Grandson Isaiah and Goddaughter Ceci Galban; Also surviving him are Susan Rodriguez Veronica's mother and Alma Soto Jessica and Crystal's mother. Ron was preceded in death by his father Elias Soto; brothers Sam and Tommy Soto; Tio Sal Apodaca and his grandparents Canunto and Josephina Apodaca and Elias and Maria Soto. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2008 from 5 to 7 PM at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil to celebrate his life will follow at 7 PM with Rudy Guzman of Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral officiating.
