Ronnie Toms Benavidez, 33, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, died Tuesday, December 8, 2020. Ronnie was born April 8th, 1988, in San Antonio, Tx, to Dolores Lopez and Rolando Benavidez.
Ronnie was the youngest of three boys and quickly learned the value of family. He was a hardworking man with a heart of gold. He had a smile that could light up any room and turn around anyone's dark day. He put himself last and all of his family and friends first. No matter what kind of battle he was fighting personally, he would smile, make you laugh, and carry on with an unmatched style and intensity. Ronnie was loved and respected by many, the memories he created will be carried on and cherished for a lifetime.
Ronnie is survived by his children Angel, Josiah, and Alexandra, parents Dolores Lopez and Rolando Benavidez, brothers Micah and Joseph, two grandmothers Mariana L. Lopez and Viola Vargas, and many aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church.
Due to COVID-19, restrictions have been placed and limitations on capacity of attendance will be restricted. Getz Funeral Home will be live streaming services at Getzcares.com as well as Facebook for additional family, friends, and the public to attend.
