Rosa Murl Hunter McKee was born September 23, 1910 and went home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2007 at the age of ninety-seven. She was born in Brandsville, Missouri to the late John Houston and Rosalie Wall Hunter. She was a graduate of Arkansas State University and a retired School Teacher. Rosa Murl Hunter McKee was born September 23, 1910 and went home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2007 at the age of ninety-seven. She was born in Brandsville, Missouri to the late John Houston and Rosalie Wall Hunter. She was a graduate of Arkansas State University and a retired School Teacher. She retired from Fairacres Elementary School, Las Cruces, New Mexico. She is survived by her husband of seventy- three years, Henry McKee. Also surviving, a daughter Rosalie Spangler, brother Rev. Wilbur Hunter of West Plains, Missouri, a sister-in-law and husband, Ruth and Don Powell of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. She had seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great, great grand daughter. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. Preceding Mrs. McKee in death were her parents, sisters Olive Kentner, Bea Hunter, brothers Earl Hunter and Clifford Hunter, sons Jon Harvey McKee and Donald A. McKee. A visitation will be held from 9 to 10 AM on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007 at East Mesa Baptist Church where Rosa's funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM with Roland Burnett Pastor of Canaan Trail Baptist Church, Alto, New Mexico, and Brother Linville Tisdale Pastor of East Mesa Baptist Church, Las Cruces, New Mexico officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pall bearers will be grandsons and great grandsons: Lee Correa, Jimmy Littleton, Roy Littleton, Robert McKee, Cody Correa and Trey Correa.
