Rosalie Apodaca Steinmetz, 81 of Hatch, NM passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2009 at Casa de Oro Nursing Center. Rosalie was raised on the Tierra Blanca family homestead ranch in Lake Valley, New Mexico. She was the daughter of Jose M. and Zelfa G. Apodaca and was the sister of Adrian, Frank, Rose, Irene, and Lucas Apodaca and the sister in law of Claribel Apodaca. All of who pre...
Rosalie Apodaca Steinmetz, 81 of Hatch, NM passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2009 at Casa de Oro Nursing Center. Rosalie was raised on the Tierra Blanca family homestead ranch in Lake Valley, New Mexico. She was the daughter of Jose M. and Zelfa G. Apodaca and was the sister of Adrian, Frank, Rose, Irene, and Lucas Apodaca and the sister in law of Claribel Apodaca. All of who preceded her inn death. Rosalie always expressed compassion for the blind. She is survived by nieces, Annie Mae Ortiz of Derry, NM; Ida Lopez of Las Cruces, NM; and Lucille Munday of El Paso, TX and nephews, Richard Apodaca of Garfield, NM and Gilbert Apodaca of Las Cruces, NM. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10 am on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at San Isidro Catholic Church in Garfield, NM with the Rite of Committal and burial to follow at the Garfield Cemetery. Officiating will be Fr. Carlos Espinoza. Serving, as casket bearers will be Richard Apodaca, Gilbert Apodaca, Sam Gonzalez, Edmund Ogas, Errol Gonzalez, and Ron Gonzalez.
