Rose Kimiko Masunari, 90 of Las Cruces, NM passed away on Thursday July 25, 2013. She was born to Bunsuke and Yaeno Matsumoto on March 13, 1923 in Honolulu, HI. Rose enjoyed playing Bridge, traveling all over the world, baking, visiting casinos, Tai Chi and reading. In her younger years Rose would spend her time bowling, collecting and making Japanese Dolls. Rose Kimiko Masunari, 90 of Las Cruces, NM passed away on Thursday July 25, 2013. She was born to Bunsuke and Yaeno Matsumoto on March 13, 1923 in Honolulu, HI. Rose enjoyed playing Bridge, traveling all over the world, baking, visiting casinos, Tai Chi and reading. In her younger years Rose would spend her time bowling, collecting and making Japanese Dolls. Her love for life was watching the smiles of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rose is survived by her daughter, Karen Smith and husband Darryl of Las Cruces, NM, sisters, Tomiko Maruyama of Sunnyvale, CA, Kikuye Nomoto, Tokiye Yamanaka, brother Yoshiharu Matsumoto. She is also survived her seven grandchildren, Clint (Rachael), Sheila, Phillip, Nikki (Marcos), Andrew, Matthew and Nathan, six great-grandchildren, Joseph, Marcus, Olivia, Devyn, Corinna and Geremiah. She will be deeply missed by all who know and love her. At Rose's request cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. PDF Printable Version
