Roy A. Childers Sr.

Roy A. Childers Sr., 65, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009. He was born February 13, 1944 in Illinois to Roy and Arcela Childers. Roy was well known around the Mesilla Valley as one of the owners of Childers and Associates Private Investigations. He enjoyed the outdoors playing with his grandchildren but his passion was for all his family. Roy will be deeply missed by all his family and many friends who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years Annette Childers of the family home; three sons Roy Childers Jr., and wife Bonnie, Gabriel Flores and wife Annette and Dominic Flores and wife Cynthia all of Las Cruces; one daughter Dena Phillips of Ft. Worth, Texas, brother Bill Childers and wife Liz of Las Cruces, 8 grandchildren Mike, Jimmy, Michael, Allie, Celine, Isaiah, Leticia and Marcuss, and by his great-grandson Jordan. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, brother Al Childers and nephew Gary Childers. A Celebration of Roy's Life will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at the Sierra Vista Community Church with Pastor Ron Adams officiating. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Memorial Medical Center I.C.U. Staff, Respiratory Unit and the Oncology Unit for the special care shown to Mr. Childers. PDF Printable Version
