Roy S. Purcella, 73, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, may 2, 2007. He was born Sept. 2, 1933 in Crane, TX to Ernest and Minnie Sheare Purcella. Roy was a veteran of the US Navy where he served his country honorably. He also was a retired truck driver. Roy was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish but his passion was for gambling. Roy S. Purcella, 73, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, may 2, 2007. He was born Sept. 2, 1933 in Crane, TX to Ernest and Minnie Sheare Purcella. Roy was a veteran of the US Navy where he served his country honorably. He also was a retired truck driver. Roy was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish but his passion was for gambling. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. Roy is survived by his two daughters Debbie of Las Cruces and Janet of Austin, TX; brothers Wilson Purcella of Las Cruces, Wayne Purcella of Waterflow, NM and David Morris of Capitan, NM; sister Mary Morris of Roswell, NM and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Donna Purcella and his son Dwayne. Memorial Services to celebrate his life will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at Getz Funeral Home with Rev.
