Ruben S. Segovia, 87 of San Miguel, NM died Monday, July 17, 2006 at Las Posada, Mesilla Valley Hospice. Ruben was born January 14, 1919 in Durango, Mexico to Juan Jose and Teodora Segovia. Ruben S. Segovia, 87 of San Miguel, NM died Monday, July 17, 2006 at Las Posada, Mesilla Valley Hospice. Ruben was born January 14, 1919 in Durango, Mexico to Juan Jose and Teodora Segovia. He was a member of the Catholic Church and was a retired tree surgeon from Stahman Pecan Farms. Ruben is survived by five sons, Heriberto M Segovia and his wife Sofia of EL Paso, TX; Manuel Segovia and his wife Mary of Del Rio, TX; Ruben Segovia Jr; Benjamin Segovia and his wife Valerie of Las Cruces, NM; and Ricardo Segovia and his wife Barbara of Mesquite, NM. Three daughters, Esther S. Holguin of Mesquite, NM; Alicia S. Holguin and her husband Gilberto of Hereford, TX; and Margarita S. Segovia of Las Cruces, NM. Also surviving Ruben are 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Pabla and two sons, Edward and Rudolfo Segovia. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 PM on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at San Miguel Catholic Church in San Miguel, NM where the Prayer Vigil will follow at 7 PM. The Funeral Liturgy will be on Thursday, July 20, 2005 at 9 AM also at San Miguel Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal and Burial will follow at San Miguel Cemetery. Officiating will be Fr. Ruben Romero. Serving, as pallbearers will be Heriberto M. Segovia, Manuel Segovia, Ruben Segovia Jr, Benjamin Segovia, Ricardo Segovia, and Edward Segovia Jr. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Mesilla Valley Hospice La Posada, 299 E.
