Ruth Trim Scates Lord, 92, joined the Heavenly Father December 9, 2009 having lived a long and fruitful life. Born September 11, 1917, she often reminded friends in recent years, "That there was at least one good thing that had happened on that particular date!" Her family migrated from Iowa to the Texas/Oklahoma region when she was an infant. The middle child and final survivor of seven siblings born to Garland and Olga Trim, Ruth is survived by daughter Sharon Meier of Las Cruces, grandchildren Mary Terrazas of Carrollton, TX and John Paul Meier and wife, Karen of Grafenw
