Salvador F. Saiz 74 years old, passed away Friday July 12, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 21, 1938 in Loving, New Mexico to Manuel and Genoveva (Franco) Saiz. He was the oldest of eight siblings whom he loved very much. Sal moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico with his family as a child and he was very hard working from a young age. Starting at a young age he sold newspapers to help his family. Sal retired from Allstate Insurance after 33 years of service. He was a very successful agent and received awards including trips and was a member of the Honor Ring. Golfing was his favorite past time along with having coffee with his buddies at Los Compas. Sal loved to entertain people. Sal is survived by his loving wife Pauline (Carrillo) Saiz with whom he just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. He is also survived by his sons, Salvador (Sonny) Saiz of Las Cruces and Jeff Saiz (Lupe) of Las Cruces. He is also survived by his daughters, Krystal (Saiz) Simmonds (Isaac) of Colombia, MO and Jennifer Morley of Las Cruces. Sal is also survived by his grandchildren, grandsons Vincette Lee of Las Cruces, Jeffrey Saiz (Cerisa) serving in the armed force in Ansbach, Germany, Brandon Saiz of Las Cruces, and Jaden Simmonds of Columbia, MO, and his granddaughter Amber Saiz of Las Cruces. Sal also has one great granddaughter Kaleigh Saiz living in Ansbach, Germany. Sal is also survived by his siblings Jimmy Saiz (Becky) Chino Hills CA, Levi Saiz (Yvonne) Carlsbad, NM, Manuel Saiz (Iris) Las Cruces, Mary Rodriguez of Phoenix, AZ, Lilly Hernandez of Carlsbad, NM, a special Aunt Socorro Hernandez of Las Cruces and special friends Arturo & Cecilia Archuleta. He was also survived by many nephew and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Sammy Saiz, and a sister Jessie Franco. Services for Sal will be held on Wednesday July 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 1800 S. Locust St., Las Cruces. Immediately to follow the service a burial service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are his sons and brothers; Sonny Saiz, Jeff Saiz, Jimmy Saiz, Levi Saiz, Manuel Saiz, and Arturo Archuleta. PDF Printable Version
