We are saddened to announce the death of Sharon R. Noe 77, of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Sharon passed away peacefully on September 25, 2022, at her home, leaving her loved ones with tremendous heartache and grief. Sharon was born August 31, 1945, in Atascadero, California to R.T. Riley and Thelma Riley. Sharon was one of two children and was beloved by all. Sharon married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Noe, in 1963. For 59 years they lived in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where they raised their son and then doted on their two grandchildren. While living in New Mexico, Sharon attended Gadsden High School, where she was actively involved in the student body as a member of, The Pantherette Squad. Sharon went on to continue her education at, New Mexico State University where she excelled, and received her associate degree in Nursing. After graduating from New Mexico State University, Sharon began working as a Registered Nurse at Memorial Medical Center, where she found her passion as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. Taking care of her communities' mothers and babies for three decades, Sharon was commonly approached and thanked by former patients in the community and made life-long friendships with many of her colleagues. Sharon continued to develop her skills in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and obtained a bachelor's degree from NMSU in December 1993. She continued her work by precepting and mentoring many young nurses in the field of High-Risk Obstetrics. After retiring from Memorial Medical Center, she received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix, continuing her love of nursing, Sharon went on to become a Nursing Instructor for the Dona Ana Branch Community College. Sharon was known for her nurturing, loving, and gracious heart. She enjoyed traveling, attending church services, supporting local high school sports, spoiling her beloved, dog Ali and gathering with her friends and loved ones, building lasting memories along the way. She was actively involved in Dona Ana County and was honored with many recognitions for her service and devotion to the Las Cruces community. She was a wonderful mentor, great friend, and amazing wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Sharon will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she touched, molded, and mentored. Sharon is survived by her husband Jerry Noe of Las Cruces, NM, her son Scott (Shelly) Noe of Las Cruces, NM, granddaughter Catelin (Jeremy) Miller of El Paso, TX, grandson James (Amira) Noe of Las Cruces, NM, brother Richard (Sissy) Riley of Phoenix, AZ, and a host of extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents R.T. and Thelma Riley. A Viewing Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Getz Funeral Home. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Fairacres Baptist Church at 10:00 am. Sharon will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery in Las Cruces, NM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in support of Alzheimer's Research.
