"Sherry" Vanderhyden, 59, of Nogal, New Mexico passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at her home. She was born March 18, 1954 to Margie and Ernest Riggs. Sherry enjoyed painting, making jewelry, playing golf and riding motorcycles. She will be deeply missed by all who know and love her. Sherry is survived by her loving husband of 16 years Tom Vaanderhyden of the family home, mother Margie and father, Ernest; three children Dinah Lowe (Ronnie), Annette O'Dell, and Andy Woolf; seven grandchildren Alex Brown, Cage Parkins, Sal Munos, Ysabel Munos, Brian O'Dell Kaitlin O'Dell and Megan O'Dell. She is also survived by her sibling's brother Wayne Riggs (Cynthia) two sisters Rosetta Jeter (Larry) and Sue Riggs-Gower as well as her mother-in-law Jane Grubb. Sherry was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents George and Ethel Choate and Fred and Rose Riggs. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Pentecostal Holiness Church in Garfield, NM. Burial will follow in Hatch, NM at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
