Socorro Garcia, 60 of Las Cruces, NM died Wednesday September 26, 2007 at Mountain View Regional Hospital. She was born October 6, 1946 in Julimes, Chihuahua Mexico to Jesus and Avelina Aranda. She was a member of Our Lady of Health Catholic Church and had a strong faith in our Lord and Savior. She was a loving wife, mother and truly enjoyed the time she had with her grandchildren....
Socorro Garcia, 60 of Las Cruces, NM died Wednesday September 26, 2007 at Mountain View Regional Hospital. She was born October 6, 1946 in Julimes, Chihuahua Mexico to Jesus and Avelina Aranda. She was a member of Our Lady of Health Catholic Church and had a strong faith in our Lord and Savior. She was a loving wife, mother and truly enjoyed the time she had with her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband, Antonio Garcia, two sons, Jesus A. Garcia, and Angel A. Garcia both of Las Cruces, NM; five daughters, Maria L. Porras of Las Cruces, NM; Angelica Garcia and Cesar Lujan of El Paso, TX; Adelaida Salas and husband Cesar of Mesquite, NM; Lorenza Garcia and Jose R. Padilla, and Nellie Garcia all of Las Cruces, NM. She is also survived by two brothers, Ramon Aranda of Liberal, KS; and Jesus M. Aranda and Maria of La Mesa, NM; five sisters, Paula Hernandez and husband Antonio of Meoqui Chihuahua, Mexico; Antonia Alcantar and husband Antonio of Las Cruces, NM; Bertha Andrade and husband Juan of Anthony, NM; Maria Pando and husband Bernardo, and Victoria Perez and husband Ricardo all of Plain View, TX; 14 grandchildren, and 1 great grand child. A visitation will be held Sunday September 30, 2007 from 5-7 pm with a prayer vigil to follow at the Getz funeral Home Chapel at 7 PM. The funeral Mass will be given at 10 am October 1, 2007 at the Our Lady of Health Catholic Church with the rite of committal to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
