Sophia was a very caring and giving person, who enjoyed dancing, music, shopping, the outdoors and volleyball. Sophia Inez Perez, 27 of Las Cruces died Monday September 21, 2009 in Odessa, TX. She was born July 2, 1982 in Indio, CA to Orlando Perez and Linda Ontiveros. Sophia was a very caring and giving person, who enjoyed dancing, music, shopping, the outdoors and volleyball. She loved spending time with her family and friends but her passion was for her daughter. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Sophia is survived by her daughter Evangelina "BoBo" Vera; companion Daniel Ordunez; her mother Linda J. Ontiveros; brother Patrick Ontiveros and by her 6 uncles, 2 aunts and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding her in death was her son Brandon Angel Vera; father Orlando Perez; grandmother Eva Rede and grandfather Rudy Ontiveros A memorial service to celebrate Sophia's life will be held at 6 PM on Thursday September 24, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home with Pastor Ruben Valenzuela of the La Mesa Community Church officiating.
