Stanley C. Nissen, 76, of Las Cruces, New Mexico died Wednesday March 7, 2007 at his home. He was born July 20, 1930 in Manning, Iowa to Edward and Viola Nissen. He served his Country in the United States Navy and Air Force, where he was able to travel all over the world. Stanley C. Nissen, 76, of Las Cruces, New Mexico died Wednesday March 7, 2007 at his home. He was born July 20, 1930 in Manning, Iowa to Edward and Viola Nissen. He served his Country in the United States Navy and Air Force, where he was able to travel all over the world. After 25 years of dedicated and honorable service in the USAF he retired at Holloman Air Force Base. Stanley then worked for ten years with Civil Service at White Sands Missile Range. He and his wife Mildred moved to Las Cruces in 1986 from Alamogordo, NM. Stanley and Mildred raised their six children and when their daughter Kathy became ill they then took in their two grand daughters Jessica and Britney. Britney was still residing with them at the time of his death. Stanley was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife Mildred Nissen of the family home, his four daughters, Pam Reichert and husband Rick of Las Cruces, NM; Joretta Wilson and husband Ross of Elizabeth City, NC; Linda Miller and husband Russel of San Antonio, TX; Diane Wedge and husband Dennis of Socorro, TX; one son, Charles Nissen of Las Cruces, NM. He is also survived by one brother, Ron Nissen and wife Donna of Kansas City, MO; fourteen grandchildren, and five great grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Kathleen Bond, brother Allen Nissen, and sister Lois Tegels. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service honoring his life will take place at a later date. PDF Printable Version
