She was born on July 14, 1965 in Albuquerque, NM to Theresa R. Terrazas of Las Cruces and Martin Tapia of Albuquerque NM. Stella lost her battle to cancer while surrounded by family. Stella R. Ostendorf 46,of Las Cruces, NM our beloved daughter, sister, mother, tia, and grandma went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on May 20,2012. She was born on July 14, 1965 in Albuquerque, NM to Theresa R. Terrazas of Las Cruces and Martin Tapia of Albuquerque NM. Stella lost her battle to cancer while surrounded by family. Stella will be remembered fondly for her big smile and her unique laugh. Every Halloween Stella loved to get dressed up as a witch and scare the young kids in the family. She enjoyed the love of all kinds of music especially when her boys sang to her. She loved life and lived it to the fullest playing pool was one of her favorite things to do. She will be dearly missed by all that loved her. Stella was preceded in death by her son Joseph D. Ostendorf and brother Joseph D. Tapia. Those left to mourn her passing include her companion Ray Salcido, her four sons Richard H. Ostendorf, Pete R Ostendorf (companion Jessica), Kenneth D. Ostendorf (wife Ashley), Leonardo M. Ostendorf all of Las Cruces. Her grandchildren Alice, Nyssa and Joseph. Her siblings Barbara A. Galvan (husband Ricky), Martin Tapia Jr. (wife Esperanza), Kathy Madrid (husband Steven). Also 6 nephews, 4 nieces and numerous family members. The family would like to invite everyone who knew our beloved Stella to celebrate in a Memorial of her life at Getz Funeral Home on Sunday the 27th of May at 11 am. PDF Printable Version
