SUSAN ELIZABETH HEYSER Susan passed away at her home on January 8, 2020 after a long illness. Susan was born in Passaic, NJ to Alfred Leone and Elizabeth Hayton Leone. SUSAN ELIZABETH HEYSER Susan passed away at her home on January 8, 2020 after a long illness. Susan was born in Passaic, NJ to Alfred Leone and Elizabeth Hayton Leone. She moved with her family to Las Cruces in January 1952. She attended Southward Elementary, Alameda Elementary, and Alameda Junior High. Susan graduated from LCHS in 1966. She received her BFA from NMSU. Susan worked many years for Amador Studio and the Miss NM USA Pageant. She was a past member of Domestic Engineers Bowling League and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She is a member of Yucca Pod Decorative Painters. Susan loved animals and was part of a Therapies Handler team with her dogs Rory and Libby and was a Certified Therapy Dog Tester/Observer. Susan was the owner of Sun Country Ceramics. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Bob, her son Christopher (Ashley), her grandson Zachary, her nieces LeeAnne Sgambati (Jeff) and Yvonne Powers, and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
