Teddy Glen Fox, age 72, passed away March 16, 2018 at Mesilla Valley Hospice. He was born June 16, 1945 in El Paso, Texas to Glen and Alma Fox. He was the youngest of three children. Ted's youth was filled with many activities. He enjoyed showing swine in 4-H, kids rodeo and going on horseback rides in the desert with his friends. A fond memory, which he recanted often, was roping off Sarah Cox's horse, "Monkey". Ted graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1963. He was a theater major at Central State in Edmund, Oklahoma. While there, he won a best actor and supporting actor award. Ted joined the Army Reserves and served in the transportation unit. Many will remember his beautiful flower arrangements. He started and owned Fox Florist for many years. One of his many artistic talents was handcrafting silver and turquoise jewelry. Throughout Ted's life there were two common threads, horses and dogs. He produced two State of Texas Champions, He's a Tuffy and She's a Tuffy. At his request, She's a Tuffy will be pictured on his tombstone. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Alma Fox, his siblings, Amelita Hill and Bobby Fox, and nephew Teddy Tankersley. He is survived by 2 nieces, Melody Munson (James), CO and Robin Koonce (Eddy), Elkhart, KS. Surviving nephews include Boyce Tankersley(Carol), Grayslake, IL and Tim Tankersley (Lois), Gordon, NE. He has numerous grand and great grand nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation at Getz Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 7:00pm; Thursday, March 22nd, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 23rd, 2018 at 2:00PM at Getz Funeral Home. Reverend Steve Griffith will officiate. Interment will follow at the Masonic Cemetery. First Visitation
